Living the Teaching in a Modern World

As we step into this extraordinary time in history, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the speed of change. Science reveals the mysteries of the universe, technology connects us instantly, and the challenges of our planet call us to new levels of awareness. In all of this, we may wonder: Where does Spirit meet us today?

Ernest Holmes, founder of Science of Mind, taught that Truth is timeless, yet ever-evolving in its expression. If he were alive today, he would remind us that the discoveries of modern science are not separate from Spirit—they are confirmations of what the mystics have always known: all of life is one interconnected whole.

Holmes might say: “Every thought, every word, and every action is a seed cast into the Infinite. The harvest is inevitable. Sow wisely. Sow lovingly. Sow joyfully.” His philosophy was never about escaping life, but about transforming it—bringing Spirit into our daily choices, relationships, and communities.

In our polarized world, his voice would be clear: “We are not here to argue over shadows, but to live in the Light. Beneath every appearance of division, the One Life is whole. Beneath every wound, Wholeness remains unscarred. Beneath every conflict, Love waits to be revealed.”

For us at CSL Prescott, this is our charge: to live as the place where God shows up. To see technology as a servant of love, to treat the Earth as our greater body, and to walk forward with faith unshaken—knowing Spirit is present, active, and expressing through us right now. Let us move together into this new season with a renewed conviction that God is all, in all, through all, as all. Truly, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Let us listen, speak, and live from this awareness

—and so it is.
